Doggie Daycare

Why daycare? Dogs are social animals, they benefit greatly from social interaction. In the daycare environment, dogs are allowed to play with their furry friends, all day. Since there is always a two legged friend supervising their playing, it stays safe and fun.

Dogs also need exercise. Playing and running around with friends, is one fun work out too.

Daycare also helps decrease behavioral problems. Problems like, excessive barking, chewing and digging are usually caused by boredom. If a dog is tired from a full day of play, he’ll be too tired to get bored and get into trouble. Dogs that have separation anxiety also benefit from daycare.

Dogs that lack confidence are helped by daycare as well.

How to get started- Before the fun can begin, we will need proof of current Rabies, DHLLP and Bordetella vaccines. We will also need proof of a negative fecal done within the past year. Dogs over 7 months of age must be spayed or neutered. You will also need to fill out our application. Once we have vaccine records and a completed application, we will evaluate your dogs’ temperament and play style. Dogs must be controllable. If a dog is quite obviously social but not controllable, they will need to attend obedience classes before they can attend daycare. After a successful evaluation, the fun is ready to begin.

Ready for fun- We have pick up and drop off hours from 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday. Dogs are free to play from 9am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. Your playful pup can also play the day away in the daycare while he’s boarding.

We have indoor play areas and outdoor play areas. No matter what the weather is like your dog can have fun.

Dogs are grouped according to play style. This means a dog that enjoys rough housing won’t be grouped with a dog that likes to take it easy.

Dogs are supervised all day by dog lovers who know and understand dog behavior.

Occasionally, we will have arts and crafts days. Your dog will come home with a special gift they made just for you. We will only allow your dog to participate if it’s okay with you.

Dogs are tired by the end of the day and when owners pick them up, they don’t get to see their dogs playing. So, we take pictures of the dogs in action throughout the day. Pictures of the day are usually up by 6:00 pm.
