Diane Hilperts, Dog Trainer
Diane Hilperts has been involved with dogs for over twenty years, including training, showing, and breeding. She is an active member of Therapy Dogs International (TDI) and currently has five certified therapy dogs. She visits local hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and participates in many community events. Diane is also an evaluator for TDI and the Canine Good Citizens Test for the AKC (American Kennel Club). She has taught many obedience classes over the years, both group and private instruction for various organizations including a local dog club, a veterinarian, and a training facility in the area. In addition to obedience training, she has taught instrumental music for many years and believes the training as a teacher has helped her in her obedience classes. She has titled many of her own dogs, in breed and obedience, but believes that first and foremost our dogs are our pets. A trained dog can be a wonderful addition to any family and can provide years of pleasure and companionship.
